Glastonbury Abbey to reopen to members from June 3rd

We are delighted to be able to let you know that Glastonbury Abbey will be reopening from Wednesday June 3rd , initially to members only. We ask all members to please take note of signage and instructions from staff at all times.

Opening arrangements will be different than usual for a little while. Initially we will be open Wednesday – Sunday between 10.00am and 4pm and a one way system for entry, exit and access to the Lady Chapel will be in place. The shop, café, museum, Abbot’s Kitchen and St Patrick’s Chapel will remain closed until further notice.

We will be installing portable toilets on the site but please do note that before these are available only the wheelchair accessible toilet will be open as it is not possible to maintain social distancing in the route to the current toilet block.

As previously advised, all current memberships (at time of closing) will be extended by the length of time the abbey has been closed. We are very much looking forward to welcoming you back to enjoy the abbey again and hope to see you soon!
